What we will do.
Tell me about your equipment, interests, preferred dates and how much time you would like to spend. We’ll agree a focused route and a comfortable duration before you book. We can discuss an early start on the Backs, Grantchester or locations further afield, subject to access. Travel arrangements and any additional costs are agreed in advance.
The route responds to the season, weather, access and light. There is time for questions and practical suggestions as you shoot.
What to bring.
Bring your charged phone or camera, enough storage, comfortable shoes and clothing for the weather. For camera users, your usual lens is a good starting point. We can discuss any extra equipment before the day.
A few practical details.
We confirm the meeting place when arranging your tour. Standard city routes use public streets and paths, and do not include college entry. Please mention any mobility needs before booking.
A few useful answers
Do I need an expensive camera?
No. Bring the camera you enjoy using. The smartphone tour works with iPhone or Android; the camera tour gives us more time to work with your own equipment.
Will you take any photos of us?
On these tours, you’ll take your own photographs with my guidance. I may also take a few informal photos of you along the way, using my phone or camera—a lovely reminder of your visit. There’s no need to book a separate portrait session for that.
Which languages are available?
Photography tours can be in French or English. Tell me your preference when you enquire.
Do we go inside the colleges?
Standard routes use public streets and paths, with exterior views of the colleges. College admission is not included. Routes may change with access, weather and light.
