Frequently Asked Questions About Cambridge Tours

We offer two types of private tour: guided walking tours and photo tour experiences. Our guided walking tours cover Cambridge’s history, colleges, architecture, and hidden stories — led by a local with 27 years’ experience. Our photo tours add professional photography, with an edited gallery of high-resolution images delivered within 48 hours. Both are available in English and French, and you can combine them for the full experience.

Yes — our guide is a native French speaker. We offer full guided walking tours and photo tours conducted entirely in French. This makes us ideal for French tour operators, cultural travel groups, and language school excursions visiting Cambridge. Visites guidées en français disponibles toute l’année.

Guided walking tours start from £150 for a 90-minute private tour. Photo tours start from £160. Our combined guided tour + photo package starts from £250. All prices are per group, not per person — and there are no college entry fees on any of our tours. Contact us for a group quote.

No — all our tours follow public streets, bridges, and riverside paths. We stop in front of colleges and on bridges to tell the stories, explain the architecture, and point out details most visitors miss. This means there are no entry fees, no photography restrictions, and no limits on group size. It also makes our tours ideal for groups on a budget, including language schools and student groups.

Most of our guided walking tours last 90 minutes to 2 hours. Photo tours run 60 to 90 minutes. We cover approximately 1–3 km on foot through the historic city centre. Half-day and bespoke itineraries are also available on request.

No — a smartphone is absolutely fine. We offer a dedicated iPhone Photography Tour, and all our photo tours include tips for getting great results with any camera.

We meet in central Cambridge, typically near King’s Parade or Senate House. The exact meeting point is confirmed when you book. We can also arrange to meet at your hotel or coach drop-off point.

Yes — we accommodate groups from 2 to 25+ people. We regularly work with tour operators, language schools, corporate event planners, and travel agents. For trade enquiries, ask about our commission structure and B2B invoicing.

Our walking tours finish near the punt stations on the River Cam, so it’s easy to follow your tour with a punt. Ask us when you book and we can help arrange it with our recommended local punting partner.
